FAQS Leaflet Distribution Local Life Leaflets

faqs local leaflet distribution

As a media company with over 10 years’ experience delivering leaflets, we’re frequently asked questions about all aspects of our leaflet distribution service.
This blog post shares our insight and answers to some of the key questions we often get asked.

Planning

Q. How many leaflets should I distribute?

A. Typically, we recommend a minimum of 10,000 leaflets, but it depends on the campaign, and the geographical, demographical areas you require us to cover. It’s always best to have a chat with us first and we can guide you from there

Q. I want to run a leaflet campaign. What do you need from me?

A. Do you have your own leaflets? Do you want us to design, print and deliver your leaflet campaign?
As soon as we have discussed your requirements, we will provide you with a quote and our terms and conditions. Our pre-payment policy requires the full payment prior to the distribution start date. You will need to deliver your own leaflets to our Harlow office if you are supplying them, alternatively we can collect them for a small charge. We will advise you of any deadlines in accordance with your distribution date.

Q. Who will I be working with at Local Life?

Upon receiving your initial inquiry, one of our charming ladies will guide you through your requirements and confirm the distribution plan. Once your booking has been confirmed, we will create the paperwork and schedule your distribution time slot. The campaign then proceeds as planned. Your main point of contact throughout the distribution process will be the office staff

Q. When can I expect my campaign to be up-and-running?

A. In most cases, we will respond to requests for information and prices the same working day.
The lead time for campaign preparation varies depending on the service chosen. For a sole campaign, we recommend three working days as a minimum. A further 3 working days would be required if we are to add printing services. The amount of input you can provide will determine how much time is required for design.
We will always try to meet the deadlines set by our clients.

A. Distribution areas can be selected in a variety of ways. We can work with whole postcodes or postcode sectors, highlight roads, or distribute within a radius of a given point or postcode.
As well as providing detailed distribution maps, we can help you gain a residential and business count to guide and optimise your campaign.

SERVICES

Q. I’m only after a small campaign and have a limited budget

A. Our team is capable of handling any size campaign. We do however have a minimum fee. Please see our website or call us for details. If you have a limited budget, we will always advise you on how to maximize it.

Q. Do you only deliver leaflets or can you distribute magazines etc?

A. We offer a range of media and marketing services to reach your target audience. We can supply data lists, create email marketing campaigns, deliver bulk drops to local businesses, hand out leaflets at local train stations. Get in touch and we can discuss your requirements further.

Q. Is it possible to have my leaflets designed and printed by you or do you only distribute?

A. Yes, we can design or just print or just deliver or a complete design, print and deliver package. Leaflet prices are £75 for an A5 single sided leaflet. We charge based on your specifications. Please get in touch today and we can give you a tailored quote.

DELIVERY

Q. Are my leaflets guaranteed to be delivered?

1. Monitoring deliveries is done in a variety of ways. We have a supervisor on every team who drives the vehicle and monitors the distributors by only giving them a limited amount of stock. This allows them to keep track of how fast or slow they are going.

We have also developed our own unique tracking successful methods. Contact us to discuss.

Q. What is the expected time frame for leaflets to be distributed?

1.Our team of distributors has the overall capacity to deliver 20,0Our distributors are capable of delivering 20,000 items per day.er day within a 7-8 hour period. This is based on a single page A5 leaflet being delivered in a highly populated urban area. In less densely populated areas, this can be reduced to around 500 to 700 leaflets per day per distributor.

Q. What are the areas that you deliver to?

A. We offer leaflet delivery areas in West Essex, South Hertford and North London. We break the areas (postcodes) into rounds of 5,000 homes located in affluent areas.

Q. What’s the difference between a Solus and shared drop?

A. Solus leaflets are posted through letterboxes independently, allowing you to choose your target areas and distribution dates. As a result, only one leaflet will be seen with no competition.
We have less flexibility with shared distribution since we have to take into account other clients who are also covering the same area. It is our policy to only place a maximum of three non-conflicting leaflets at one time, ensuring that they are all independent of one another and not inserted into one another during delivery.

COSTS

Q. Is there a reason why some areas cost more to deliver to than others?

A. Many factors influence pricing, such as the item being distributed, the area we’re delivering to, and the type and density of housing. We also need to consider the distance from the distribution center to the location, the number of items that can be distributed per day, and the number of vans and/or teams needed to make deliveries. All of these factors collectively influence the overall price.

RESULTS

Q. Leaflet Distribution what the industry response rate is like?

A. Your success depends on a variety of factors, such as whether or not the service you are offering is of interest to the household you are targeting, who picks up your leaflet, and whether they keep it to act on later.
The Direct Marketing Association (DMA) states that the expected response rate is around 0.5%, which we cannot control as a leaflet delivery company.
